"Laurels " is situated in the rural heartland of Barabanki District, about 25Kms outside Lucknow.

Its objective is to impart quality education in the English-medium to rural children in order to bridge the rural-urban divide.

  • Laurels' curriculum is tailored to cater to students with special needs. The faculty includes a developmental therapist and educator for students who need early intervention so that they can be included in the mainstream school.

AMALTAAS FOUNDATION

Amaltaas Foundation was established in 2011 with a vision to bridge the rural-urban divide by providing value based, future oriented English-medium education to boys & girls in the villages of Uttar Pradesh.
This vision included working for the development of the community at large.

Founding Members

Geeta Kumar

An innovative, committed, educationist involved with child responsive student engagement, teacher training and school administration, Geeta Kumar was educated at Loreto Convent and Mayo College, Ajmer. She Co - founded Study Hall in1986, Amaltaas Foundation in 2011 and was the Consultant advisor for developing schools in Lucknow, Barabanki and Gonda Districts. A Colonel's daughter, widowed at 21 with grit, determination, integrity and faith she pursues her dream for quality education for all - value based and future oriented.

Ritu Marwaha

Principal of a K-12 school and recipient of many State and National Awards as Best Teacher and Principal.

Dipali Singh

Management graduate running her own business with experience of administering end-to-end literacy programs for adults.
